Hi,
2 weeks ago, Bill and me had a LAN on Classic Arena at my home (he kindly gave me one of his notebooks, mine is still out of order ! ).
We installed a fresh copy of UT GOTY on this notebook and all went fine. We played a lot and finally we wanted to see the statistics of the matches too.
We tried to obtain these stats through a default internal service, called "NetGamesUSA" (take a look at your UT folder to find this folder).
UT GOTY (v432) has a well-known bug: 2 .DLLs files, "snjawt11.dll" and "snjrt11.dll", are missing in the "ngStats" subfolder (these DLLs are instead present in other versions of UT) so the service doesn't work by default. This problem cannot be solved by updating UT to v436 because these DLLs are not added with the update.
I found these DLLs on a old copy of UT (v400) even though I think they could be found easily somewhere on the web. So, before starting to play, I simply copied the 2 DLL files into the correct folder. Then UT GOTY was updated to version 436 by installing also the 4th Bonus Pack (that is not included in UT GOTY).
Unfortunately we were not able to get any stats from UT: the service started correctly (see image enclosed) but no HTML file about game stats was written on disk. We tried this many times but we had not any results at all. :o
Has maybe anyone experimented in the past the same issue or knows how to solve this problem ?
Thanks for infos.
I've just taken a look at that page and downloaded the updated version of ngStats but nothing happened, same results.
Really don't know how to make it work...

ngStats was a world-wide stats service about 8-9 years ago. It's gone, dude. Now, as S-9 stated, UTstats uses the logs that ngstats used years ago but you need an SQL database to be able to use them.
ngStats installed with UT lets you views also your local UT stats (local and LAN matches): see your start menu "View my local UT stats. [ngStats]" !
I wanted to analyze these local stats, not the "world-wide" ones (related to server games), which are obviously gone because the net service no longer exists...
Anyway, I solved the problem and made the local service work.
It was a problem of nested folders...
The correct path for ngStats folder is:
"UnrealTournament/NetGamesUSA.com/ngStats/"
My path was instead:
"UnrealTournament/NetGamesUSA.com/NetGamesUSA.com/ngStats/"
The "NetGamesUSA.com" parent folder was doubled for some reasons. It was not an error of mine: I've just observed that my copy of UT GOTY is packed in this way. Damn !
Moreover, I've also noticed that many extra files (like images, css and icons) are missing in the "NetGamesUSA.com" folder...I can see all the data about local/LAN matches but the presentation layer sucks because these files are missing ! Damn !
To solve the issue, I've just copied right now the entire "NetGamesUSA.com" folder from my copy of UT (v400) to UT GOTY (v432) folder. It works fine and all the local stats are perfect !
Ok, I'm happy now. Here an image about the main report page (ngStats_Main.html) so you can see how it appears.
The stats service works only for local (practise and single player matches) and LAN matches but it can be useful.
Hi,
for those who have installed UT GOTY (v432) on their pc and probably have a failed copy of ngStats v1.2, here a working copy of ngStats service taken from a standard UT copy (v400).
You can delete your current "NetGamesUSA.com" subfolder (located in your UT folder) and use this one to have a working local ngStats service (v1.0.4) for your single player/practise and LAN matches
Read the following webpage to see the changes done with the other updates (thanks to Strych9 for the link): http://www.unreal...ht=ngstats
You can find here also the v1.2 update for ngStats service. Otherwise you can download ngStats v1.2 directly here: direct link: http://utdatabase...om_v12.zip
greetings,
Pietro
