Hi,
some minutes ago I was playing with Annmarie on 1on1 server and I noticed a problem in the HUD (I already noticed this issue before).
I think the problem is the use of ping/time features of NexgenX plugin along with AMLP_HaSm mutator which also displays a time countdown box on HUD: both the mutators write infos in the same position on the HUD so the data are superimposed.
If you want to host ping data on HUD (using the AMLP_HaSm), maybe you have to code a specific mutator and put the ping box elsewhere on the HUD.
I was working on the same problem just some weeks ago with some guys from ISC team. I was able to find the UScript class for the ping feature even though I had some problems on the color overlay...

Ok boss, it was strange that issue was not noticed
If I am able to code the ping feature, I can send you the mutator so you can take a look at it.
One more thing:
On 1v1 sniper, I also noticed that medboxes were not present on the map and armor was invisible (I didn't see it but when I got it I heard the sound).
regards,
Pietro

I think that you are the first one that I know of that has turned the ping feature on in nexgen. I know I have never used it. Usually when I need to check my ping I just hit F1. I like as little as possible on my HUD. Here is a screen shot of my config.

Sorry oversight on my part. This issue is fixed now. Thanks for letting me know. |

Have you tried to use the standard HUD ? maybe I make a mistake, but after reading the UScript class for Nexgen HUD I thought the 2 boxes (ping and time countdown) were displayed only in the standard HUD config.
Moreover: after I was kicked off from the server some time ago (I think you remember that), I deleted every Nexgen package in my UT/System folder and, after downloading the "fixed" ones from CoN 1on1 server, I never setup them.
Ping and time features are included in the NexgenX plugin that I never setup too...really don't know what to say
Maybe I can delete again all my Nexgen packages and download them again from CoN 1on1 server. In this way, I should not notice any superimposed data on my HUD, is it correct ? |

None of the changes that I made to Nexgen affected the HUD. The only thing I did was the login and due to a major issue found it was even removed.
You can turn the ping off in the nexgen HUD under settings. |

Solved but there is still a question
Ok, if I disable ping and time in "Settings" I get again the correct config on HUD without any superimposed data.
These features are included in NexgenPlus100b.u package.
I turned these features on again and then I deleted the package from my UT/System folder (in this way I thought it was possible to remove settings and start again from the beginning, i.e. no ping box and time box selected)
I reconnected to the server, I downloaded the package again but the settings were still on (?) so they had been saved somewhere...
...my question is, where the system stored my settings ? is there a specific configuration .ini file for Nexgen/NexgenPlus (I didn't find it among the many .ini files in my UT/System folder) ?
regards,
Pietro
PS: you're right, better to not see my ping on server |

The settings are stored in the user.ini. Try deleting the nexgen section. As far as I know the NexgenPlus100b.u does not contain the HUD. I think that is in the main mutator. |

Thanks for the infos, I found them.
When I removed all my Nexgen files, I didn't delete settings in User.ini so they were stored. When I downloaded the packages from the server again, a Nexgen config was already setup so HUD displayed also ping/time boxes. Ok, now all is clear.
Thanks again for your help !
regards,
Pietro
PS: yes, Nexgen HUD class is written in the main mutator but NexgenPlus100b.u contains the ping/time features, they both write data in the Nexgen HUD (see image enclosed and the code in the NXPHUD class in NexgenPlus100b.u)
