[SOLVED]version missmatch

hi i get version missmatch with file: "infadds" on your freestyle server so i delete it from my system and get your copy ,,but... if i play on other servers i get missmatch again????can you help with this? i dont want to keep deleting and downloading this file.
also i have big lag problems on your server any tips to speed up? (i live in uk , ping is about 200+) any help guys n1.

Hey,
I had the same problem after joining an euro server some time ago. I just renamed the original package "InfAdds.u" and kept it into a secure folder for later use...
I think this is the only solution if you want to keep on playing on both servers. |

Yeah anytime you get a version mismatch all you have to do is delete or rename the file in question and reconnect. The correct file will be downloaded.
infadds was release after being revised and not renamed so I have seen this issue before with this file. |

ok i think some servers all use a differnt version.
i seen this with bunny foo foo also.

Glad to help. Just a note on your bunny foo foo comment. Bunny Foo Foo should not be added as a package so if you are getting bunny foo foo as a mismatch then someone has the server config setup incorrectly and has bunny foo foo in the server packages. |

Oh well i think it is Kaut freestyle server who has this bunny foo foo.
i play [UT]campserver, con freestyle, and kaut freestyle.
and hof monsterhunt.

i deleted bunny foo foo and redownload from Kaut server, and i connect to all my fav servers and no problems . so i dont know how but it is solved lol.

You should get a cache cleaner to organize your UT files..
Everytime you get a version mismatch, delete that file and join the server. After that you open your Cache Cleaner and add this file to the 'Never Move' list (with your right mouse-click). You won't get a version mismatch for this file ever again.
To download:

First you have to set up the correct directory to clean up:
Go to Tools > Set up UT Directory.
Then run it, then go to options and clean your cache by 'deleting TMP (temporary) cache files' and 'purge cache files'.
It will put all the right files in the right directories.
.utx files in textures files etc.
