Hi all , Having played in CON for awhile now I noticed a couple of changes in the freestyle server . One i think is pretty kewl but the other threw off my game and had me searching to see if I had somehow messed up my HUD by pressing a key or something .
Having the IP location ID is a neat feature but I really used to like seeing the efficiency rating while playing, which is now gone. Is there any way to have both or do you have to sacrifice one for the other?
Thanks for any attention / replies to this matter.

Wow you are right. I did not notice when I put the flags on that it caused the efficiency to go away. Nice catch and thank you for bringing it up.
Let me look into it and see if I can get both on. If not I may have to remove the new mutator. |

Could an updated version of "MODOSUtils" package solve this problem ? ...the one used by UT to display country flags is "MODOSUtilsV26pre5", I've found a newer version, "MODOSUtilsV30".
In the .txt file linked to the package it's written:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MODOS Utils are server actors :
TeamBalancer - You balance the teams with a simple command
AutoRecorder - actor for automatic serverside demo recording
MODOS ScoreBoard - changes ScoreBoard to show more info (Packet loss , Efficiency)
SplashLogo - Allows you to display texture (logo) at begin play
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Can it help ?
greetings,
Pietro

Yes this could be the answer. Thank you for finding this. I will look at it as soon as I can. Maybe tonight. I am having new carpet installed in my house today so I am tied up, but will try it and report back.
If all else fails I may be able to edit the code and get both to work.
Once again Mr. P thank you for the help.

Well I had some time waiting and I looked at the MODOSUtilsV30, and for some reason it looks like they took the code out that does the flag.
May just have to try and alter the MODOSUtilsV26pre5. |

Grrrr....yes, they removed the code for country flags from the "MODOSDMScoreBoard" UScript class...damn !
I've found another version of "MODOSUtils" package, v2.5, but also in this case, the code for country flags doesn't exist...it looks like the "MODOSUtilsV26pre5" is the only version of the package with "country flags" support...
Hope you can solve the problem, now we are all in your hands !
I'm going to take a last look around to search for other packages.
bye,
Pietro |

Well here is the problem AMLP_HaSm which does the efficiency, and MODOSUtilsV26pre5 both write to the scoreboard and HUD. So basically you get what runs last.
At this point you would have to add the flag to the HaSm, problem is HaSm is obfuscated so unless the code is out there somewhere we are going to just have the flags in nexgen. So we can keep the efficiency information.
For now I have removed the MODOSUtilsV26pre5 and put it back the way it was. I will keep looking and hope to find something. |
